Summer’s not over: Chichia – London SS 2010

All thorough summer is almost coming to an end I thought I would bring to those who have been in a fashion daze the 2010 summer collection from London-based designer Christine Mhando of the label chichia.

Christine creatively uses the traditional Tanzanian material of her heritage and fashion’s into a contemporary designs with a London edge.

This collection named ‘made in Dar’ transports you to an exotic African city – Dar Es Salaam, Christine’s birthplace.

Coming through from chichia’s previous collections is the bold, vibrant colours.

Having spoken with Christine I can vouch that her designs are as vibrant as she is.
In this collection there are defiantly pieces that I will be purchasing especially the black and yellow palm print ‘Marie’ top but the highlight for me of many of Chichia’s designs are the  pieces that have been embellished this adds a unique accent.
