On the 10th September the influential ‘online fashion store’ ASOS launched the fruits of their labour with the second instalment of the ASOS Africa brand.
First launched in February 2010 this was ASOS’s first venture into ethically produced designs. Fast forward to September 10′ and the collaboration with the SOKO workshop in Kenya continues. Here the workers are some of the poorest in the country, but working at SOKO brings them fair and sustainable employment.
ASOS’s venture into ethical produced designs and the use of traditional African printed material has proved popular amongst the masses. The first collection saw the popular printed blazer fly off the virtual shelves of ASOS HQ.
